  • Adult and Teen Reads/ Lecturas para adultos y adolescentes
    Let the library pick your next great read! Register by filling out the form using the link below, which will let us know your book likes and dislikes. A librarian will then choose 2 books for you and bag them up along with some fun goodies. When you’re done with the books, just return them to the library, but all of the goodies are yours to keep. Forms open on the 1st of each month and close on the 15th or when all spots are filled. You will be contacted after the 15th to arrange pick up. (bit.ly/RLAPLreads).

Cada caja de libros de la biblioteca para adolescentes/adultos viene con libros elegidos especialmente para ti, así como con divertidas sorpresas. Guarda todas las sorpresas y entrega tu caja de libros antes de la fecha de vencimiento. Las cajas son gratuitas, pero es necesario inscribirse y las cajas son limitadas.

    Stop by the Reference desks each month in the Adult Department and grab a craft to take home. Directions and most supplies will be provided. Available all month while supplies last.

    Do you watch murder shows, read murder novels, and listen to murder podcasts? Join us for a group discussion of our favorite crimes, criminals, and the criminal justice people who hunt down the bad guys. Mature content. Light refreshments and puzzles provided.

How it works:

1. Pick up a bracket from the Adult Services Desk and fill it out choosing a winner for each contest, including your championship winner, by writing in each box.

2. Return filled in brackets to the library by Saturday, March 18 by 5pm for it to be counted.

3. Beginning March 20, vote for your favorites each week by filling out the form below or by visiting the library.

4. For every book choice you get right, points will be awarded as follows:

Week 1: 2 points
Week 2: 4 points
Week 3: 8 points
Week 4: 16 points

5. Once a winner is crowned at the end of Week 4, we will tally all the points and the 4 people with the highest number of points will win a fabulous gift basket.

Trivia Night at the Library!
Saturday, May 2
5:30 - 9:30 pm
(Must be 18 and older)

Get your teams ready for our first Trivia Night Fundraiser.  Each team will consist of up to 8 players who will work together to correctly answer 100 trivia questions and take home the GRAND PRIZE of $400!  There will be 10 general trivia categories with 10 questions per round.

Tickets are $25 per person which includes your admission, 1 beverage, and 2 raffle tickets. Register your entire team of 8 for only $150!  Team names are encouraged. Individual players will be assigned to a table that has less than 8 players. There won’t be mulligans, but we will have librarians that will sit at your table for at least $10 per round.

You can enjoy FREE snacks throughout the evening or bring your own food! Craft beer and soda can be purchased from the cash bar! Outside beverages prohibited!

Door prizes will be given away throughout the night.  There will be a 50/50 raffle! Purchase raffle tickets at the library’s circulation desk beginning April 1st.  The raffle drawing will take place on May 2nd after the Trivia’s Grand Prize announcement.  You do not need to be present to win and will have 2 weeks to claim your prize.

NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR!
